The Bristol Practice

Phlebotomy, or blood draw, is available for patients who need private blood testing, with testing delivered in partnership with diagnostic providers including Medichecks, Goodbody and Advance Tests. The Bristol Practice is a private nurse-led service in Bristol, supporting local residents and healthcare professionals with regulated nursing care.

Its nursing services include specialist wound care, sexual health testing, ECG and cardiac services, prescription medication administration, therapeutic venesection, vitamin injections and IV infusion therapy. Vitamin injections and IV infusions are prescribed by a UK-registered wellness prescriber, while therapeutic venesection is carried out under physician approval.

Post-operative care is also available, including suture, clip and stitch removal, with follow-up aftercare. Wound care is led by founder and tissue viability nurse Lisa Gibbons RN, with care provided by fully insured NMC-registered nurses.

Appointments are pre-booked only. Clinical advice is provided through booked telephone consultations.

The service is registered with the Care Quality Commission, with CQC registration in place since 2022. It supports individuals seeking private nursing care alongside, or as an alternative to, NHS services, and healthcare providers requiring a CQC-registered nurse for treatment room services and specialist nursing care.
