Dr Elizabeth Read

Dr Elizabeth Read supports patients across general practice, with a particular interest in women’s health, lifestyle medicine and menopause care. She holds a certificate in the Management of Menopause, a diploma from the College of Sexual and Reproductive Health, the Diploma for Child Health, and extra training in Type 2 Diabetes management.

She is a Certified Lifestyle Medicine Physician and has completed her Diploma with the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine. Her approach places value on continuity of care and simple, sustainable lifestyle changes that may influence physical and mental wellbeing.

Dr Read qualified as a GP in 2009 and has worked as an NHS GP since then. She moved to Peebles in 2014 and is now part of the team at The Cademuir Clinic.
