The Chiropractic Studio

The Chiropractic Studio provides chiropractic care in Bournemouth for adults, babies and children. Care is provided by Dr Claire Simmons, MCHIRO, a doctor of chiropractic who says she has practised as a family wellness chiropractor in the UK and Australia for over 14 years.

Bookable care includes Adult Initial Chiropractic Consultation, Baby Initial Chiropractic Consultation, Child Initial Chiropractic Consultation for ages 3 to 16, Standard Adjustment and Progress Review. Initial consultations include a health history, posture and movement evaluation, physical examination and, where needed, referral for X-rays or other imaging. For babies and children, the consultation also covers birth history, current or past challenges, developmental milestones and age-appropriate movement.

The practice works with babies for concerns including latching and sucking difficulties, reflux, colic, stiffness, difficulty turning the head both ways, difficulty feeding from both breasts and general unsettledness. Dr Simmons also works closely with local lactation consultants to support babies before and after tongue-tie revision.

Children’s chiropractic care at the practice focuses on the spine, pelvis and cranium, with attention to posture, motor control, emotional regulation, developmental milestones and primitive reflex integration. Dr Simmons also supports older children alongside their Occupational Therapy and Vision Therapy.

For adults, The Chiropractic Studio provides nervous system based chiropractic care, with gentle spinal, cranial, extremity and organ adjustments. Dr Simmons uses Sacro-Occipital Technique, Bio-Geometric Integration, cranial work, Activator and Functional Neurology, including brain-based assessment, retained primitive reflexes and home exercise prescription.

After assessment, Dr Simmons explains her findings and sets out a treatment plan. She may also give advice on exercises, self-care and lifestyle adjustments as part of ongoing care.
