The EchoMed Team

The EchoMed Team provides private heart checks and non-invasive cardiac diagnostics for people concerned about cardiovascular symptoms, heart rhythm problems, exertional symptoms, palpitations or general cardiovascular risk.

Its services include echocardiogram, electrocardiogram, ECG exercise stress test, 7-day Holter monitor, blood tests, cardiac CT scan and CT coronary angiogram. EchoMed Service Packages combine selected diagnostics into a bundle. The investigations are used to assess heart structure, valve function, pumping performance, the heart's electrical activity, intermittent or irregular rhythms, coronary artery plaque or blockages, and markers linked to cardiac risk.

Patients see one of the cardiology doctors for a consultation and the packaged diagnostics at the same appointment. The source information says results and an action plan are provided on the same day. A referral is not needed.

Care is available at clinics in Birmingham, Emsworth and Farnham, with a London clinic where female cardiologists are available. All clinics offer echocardiogram, ECG, 7-day Holter monitoring, blood tests and CT coronary angiogram. ECG exercise stress testing is available at the London, South Coast and Surrey Hills clinics.

EchoMed doctors are required to hold full accreditation with the British Society of Echocardiography, the national regulator for cardiac ultrasound scans. Collectively, the team works across cardiac ultrasound, ECG interpretation, rhythm monitoring, exercise testing, cardiac CT and cardiovascular blood testing.
