Musculoskeletal Assessment Clinic

The Foot Clinic provides podiatry and chiropody for foot and mobility problems. Appointments include new patient initial appointments, routine care for one foot, both feet or nails only, routine care with a vascular and neurological check, biomechanical evaluation, MSK/BME initial appointments, treatment review and follow-up, deep tissue massage, laser therapy, and chemical or laser treatment for warts and verrucas.

Podiatry care can include removal of a painful corn, prescription of an orthotic or support to help reduce recurrence, advice on foot health and footwear, and follow-up or maintenance appointments where needed. The practice says it may liaise with other professions, such as physiotherapists, if necessary.

The podiatry team's stated interests, training and backgrounds include biomechanics and orthotics, diabetic foot care, paediatric podiatry, verrucas, ingrown toenails, dermatology, acupuncture and needling, local anaesthesia, prescription-only medicines, clinical skin integrity and wound management, and high-risk foot care. Team experience includes NHS and private podiatry roles.

Care is provided at clinics in Colchester and Harwich, with a musculoskeletal assessment clinic listed for MSK/BME appointments. Home visits are also offered on Thursdays through one of the podiatrists.

All podiatrists are degree-qualified, HCPC registered, and members of the Royal College of Podiatry. The practice also holds The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists certificate of Practice Accreditation, and has provided private podiatry and chiropody since 1985.
