The Guiseley Osteopathic Centre

The Guiseley Osteopathic Centre is for people seeking osteopathic assessment and treatment for musculoskeletal pain and movement problems. The practice treats back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, hip pain, pelvic pain, muscle discomfort, sciatica, joint pain linked with osteoarthritis and tension headaches.

Care is based on assessment, diagnosis and hands-on osteopathic treatment, supported by exercise advice where appropriate. The practice uses traditional osteopathic techniques alongside evidence-based approaches, with attention to posture, joint movement, muscle tension and everyday activities that may be contributing to symptoms.

For shoulder and related upper body problems, treatment may include soft tissue massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, joint articulatory techniques and gentle adjustments. Assessment can include posture, range of motion, simple movements, and examination of the shoulder, neck, upper back, arms, joints, ligaments and muscles.

The practice also describes care for neck pain associated with posture, prolonged computer use, driving, stress, tiredness, nerve irritation, headaches, osteoarthritis, degenerative disc disease and cervical spondylosis. Severe cases may be referred to a GP for further investigation.

The clinical team includes Christian Morales, Gemma Quirke, Zoe French, Ben Harrison Place and Ross Braden. Most patients self-refer to an osteopath, and a GP referral is not necessary. Patients are encouraged to keep their GP informed, and with permission an osteopath may send a report to the GP with details of the condition and treatment.
