About The Hereford Osteopathic Centre
Existing adult follow-up treatment with Sarah is for patients who have already started osteopathic care and need progress reviewed, a treatment plan adjusted and further hands-on treatment. New adult patients are seen through an initial consultation and treatment, where Sarah takes a case history, asks about symptoms and medical history, and discusses treatment options unless further tests are needed.
The Hereford Osteopathic Centre provides osteopathy for adults, newborn babies and children. Sarah uses touch, physical manipulation, stretching and massage, and may give advice on posture and exercise. The care is tailored to individual needs and focuses on movement, pain and physical function.
Clinical areas named by the practice include musculoskeletal pain and injuries, back and neck pain, sports injuries, hip, knee and shoulder pain, sciatica, tendonitis and bursitis, frozen shoulder, post-surgery rehabilitation, repetitive strain injuries, postural problems and scoliosis. It also lists arthritis pain, fibromyalgia, pelvic pain, menstrual pain, TMJ jaw dysfunction, pregnancy-related pain, childhood and adolescent conditions, weight-related issues, stress and anxiety-related tension, sleep disorders, balance and coordination issues, digestive issues including IBS, reflux and heartburn, and cellulite and lymphatic issues.
For babies and children, Sarah specialises in gentle cranial osteopathy. The baby and child appointments are used for issues named by the practice including colic, sleep problems, feeding difficulties and birth-related tension. Treatment may include cranial osteopathy, soft limb movements and light massage, with parents informed about findings and consent taken before treatment.
Sarah has over 30 years of experience treating patients from newborns to older adults and has lectured in Osteopathy at UK universities. Her background includes work with a medical team in Kibera, Nairobi, Kenya, following post-election violence. She practises in Frome, Somerset and Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire.
