The Heriot Clinic

GP appointments are the main service, for private general practice care in Edinburgh and the Lothians. The clinic uses a relationship-based model, with continuity with the same doctor.

The Heriot Clinic offers face-to-face appointments, phone appointments and home visits. Appointment options include quick, standard, extended and one-hour GP appointments. Quick appointments are recommended only for registered patients.

Services include health checks, blood tests, private prescriptions, repeat prescriptions and sick lines. The clinic can make referrals for radiological investigations, specialists and specialist clinics.

Health check options include Core Health Check and Enhanced Health Check. Enhanced screening covers sleep and mood disorders. It also includes body composition, grip strength, spirometry and extended blood panels. These may include cardiovascular, vitamin, sex hormone and PSA testing, where required. A QFIT stool test is also included.

The clinic also provides corporate healthcare, medical services for businesses and visa medicals. The GP's hospital training included respiratory medicine, general medicine and emergency medicine. It also included rehabilitation medicine, surgery, vascular surgery, orthopaedic surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, psychiatry and general practice.
