The Nurtured Being provides Pilates in Bedford for adults, including men, women, pregnant women and women after childbirth.

Tarley provides general Pilates, modified Pilates in pregnancy and postnatal Pilates. She also offers postural assessments and natal assessments. She is a qualified APPI Pilates Instructor.

Sessions and classes are personalised and delivered in a private studio, with equipment provided. Movement is observed, corrected and modified during in-person Pilates.

Before starting, clients complete a health questionnaire. It covers pregnancy and postpartum recovery where relevant. A face-to-face postural and movement assessment is mandatory before Pilates sessions or classes. Following assessment, Tarley explains her findings and suggested Pilates aims.

For pregnancy and postnatal clients, exercises are tailored to pregnancy stage or postpartum recovery. Tarley may request doctor approval before Pilates, based on the health questionnaire. She may suggest physiotherapy, GP input or Orthotic Services if assessment highlights a concern.

Clients may request a chaperone during assessments or sessions. Tactile feedback is used only after verbal consent. The instructor does not provide personal medical advice or operate in a medical capacity.
