The Realignment Clinic

The Realignment Clinic provides back pain, sports injury and musculoskeletal care in Leigh-on-Sea. Ben Brown is a musculoskeletal specialist and clinic director. Care includes rehabilitation, hands-on treatment and aftercare for musculoskeletal pain and movement-related problems.

The clinic sees arthritic pain, back and neck pain, joint pains, generalised aches, pains and stiffness, minor sports injuries, muscle spasms, neuralgia, rheumatic pain and sciatica. It also lists fibromyalgia, cramp, circulatory problems, digestion issues, headache arising from the neck, migraine prevention, and tension and inability to relax among the conditions it sees.

A first consultation includes questions about the reason for visiting, medical history, lifestyle and occupation. This is followed by a physical examination and orthopaedic testing. Patients may be asked to remove some clothing to expose the symptomatic area, and chaperones are welcomed.

After the examination, the clinic gives a diagnosis and a proposed treatment plan. Treatment may include hands-on treatment, or referral for further medical investigations if required.

Ben Brown retrained in manual therapy after earlier work as an electrical engineer. He studied for five years and gained a Masters degree in 2018. His approach is based on movement, exercise, health and fitness.
