The Sole Room

The Sole Room treats foot and nail concerns, including routine nail care, hard skin, corns, cracked heels, ingrowing toenails, and foot, knee or hip pain linked to gait and movement. The practice is in Holmfirth and provides podiatry and foot care from Annabel, an HCPC-registered podiatrist with over 14 years of clinical experience, including work within the NHS high-risk foot team.

Care includes Just Nails appointments for toenail cutting and filing, and Routine Podiatry for nail care, reduction with a drill where needed, hard skin removal, corn treatment and cracked heel care. Medical Pedicure and Express Medical Pedicure appointments combine podiatry with foot soak, exfoliation, nail care, hard skin care, massage or Dr.'s REMEDY nail polish, depending on the treatment.

For pain and movement concerns, The Sole Room offers biomechanical assessment. This includes assessment of movement and walking pattern, with orthotics prescribed where clinically appropriate.

Toenail surgery is available for ingrowing toenails when conservative treatment has not been successful. The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic, with part or all of the nail removed depending on assessment. Phenol may be used to reduce the risk of regrowth, and aftercare advice and follow-up appointments are provided.
