The Wellness Osteopath

The Wellness Osteopath offers osteopathy, sports massage and podiatry appointments in Hassocks. Bookable care includes new patient and follow-up osteopathy appointments, sports massage, routine foot care, orthotic fitting and review, verruca assessment and treatment, initial consultations, standard appointments and extended follow-up appointments.

The podiatry service covers routine foot care and toenail cutting, corns and calluses, verrucae, ingrown toenails, fungal nail conditions, heel pain and plantar fasciitis, general foot pain and discomfort, cracked heels and dry skin. It also includes orthotic assessment and fitting, footwear and home-care advice, and routine or preventative foot care for people with diabetes or circulation concerns.

Ingrown toenail care can include conservative treatment, dressings and advice. Where appropriate after assessment, nail surgery may be offered under local anaesthetic, with aftercare appointments and dressings included as part of that treatment pathway.

Verruca assessment and treatment is available for patients aged 6 and over. Treatment options stated by the podiatry service include Verrutop, salicylic acid and dry needling using the Faulkner technique, with diagnosis and home-care guidance discussed at the appointment.

Podiatry care is provided by Georgie Dackombe, who holds a BSc (Hons) in Podiatric Medicine, is HCPC registered and is a Member of the Royal College of Podiatry. The clinic treats children and adults, and the podiatry clinic room is on the ground floor. For podiatry, no referral is needed, and new patients are assessed before any treatment plan is advised. Limited out-of-hours appointments may be available for ingrown toenail and nail surgery pathways.
