Thyme

Thyme has four sites across Wigginton near Tring, Wexham, Amersham and Central London. It provides private GP care alongside preventative and lifestyle medicine, with services for health checks, blood tests, women’s health, weight loss, gut, nutrition and allergies, travel health and vaccinations.

The practice’s Whole Health Checks combine an Advanced Nurse Practitioner consultation, a GP consultation, physical examination and a range of tests. Depending on the check, this can include blood pressure, oxygen saturation, urinalysis, ECG, body composition analysis, hearing and eye tests, cardiovascular risk review, mental health and lifestyle review, and targeted cancer risk physical examination such as smear, breast, testicular or prostate checks.

Thyme offers blood testing and screening that includes Wellperson profiles, tiredness screening, diabetes, anaemia, lipids, renal, liver and thyroid checks, vitamin D, vitamin B12 and folate, inflammation markers, thyroid antibodies and optional sexual health screening for HIV and hepatitis. Its checks may also include QFIT bowel cancer screening for over 40s, tumour markers including PSA and CA 125 where appropriate, myeloma screening for over 50s, stool chemistry testing for gut microbiome assessment, functional and nutritional assessment, DNA and epigenetic analysis, ultrasound tests and early detection scanning and imaging assessments advised by a Thyme GP.

GP and nurse care is offered in person at a Thyme Space, online and, for some members, through home visits. Some membership options include out-of-hours online GP consultations. The clinical pathway described by Thyme includes assessment by nurses, review of test results with a GP, health history, lifestyle review, referrals where needed and ongoing support through membership.

The wider clinical support available through Thyme includes mood and mental health consultations, nutrition support, sleep support and physical health services. The areas named include anxiety, depression, bereavement, workplace stress, trauma and PTSD, relationship issues, eating issues, substance abuse, sexual issues and post-natal support; digestive concerns, microbiome imbalance, skin health, energy, fatigue, weight management, insulin resistance and nutrient deficiencies; and physiotherapy, osteopathy, injury recovery, sports injury medicine and biomechanics.

Vaccinations listed by Thyme include flu, HPV, chickenpox, shingles, meningitis B and travel vaccinations, with travel requirements depending on destination. Membership can include access to private GP and nurse consultations, health checks, blood tests, specialist referrals and selected services for associate members, including children.
