Tidal Physiotherapy

Tidal Physiotherapy provides physiotherapy in Wells-next-the-Sea, with out of clinic care across North Norfolk. Care is in person, at the clinic or through home visits. It is provided by Brandon Dobson, a Chartered Physiotherapist with MSc, MCSP and HCPC registration.

Care starts with a thorough assessment, an explanation, and a plan built around your daily life. You see Brandon at each appointment, rather than a different clinician each time. Assessments and treatments are available in clinic and out of clinic.

Musculoskeletal care covers pain and problems in the head, neck, shoulder, arm, elbow, hand and wrist. It also covers chest, abdomen, upper back, lower back, hips, pelvis, glutes, thigh, knee, shin, calf, foot and ankle.

Clinical areas include stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, peripheral neuropathy, fibromyalgia and chronic primary pain. They also include complex regional pain syndrome, psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, axial spondyloarthritis, polymyalgia rheumatica and gout. Further areas include diabetes mellitus, metabolic syndrome, osteoporosis, developmental coordination disorder, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, Perthes disease and hypermobility. Osteoarthritis care includes knee osteoarthritis and hip osteoarthritis. Orthopaedic rehabilitation covers stress fractures, joint replacement rehabilitation, fracture rehabilitation and post-surgical rehabilitation.

Treatment options include advice and education, exercise, manual therapy, hydrotherapy, shockwave therapy and acupuncture. Hydrotherapy uses a heated pool for exercises and treatment. Shockwave therapy is used for persistent tendon problems, alongside a loading programme. Acupuncture is offered for muscle and tendon pain that has not settled with loading alone.
