Vale Chiropractic lists musculoskeletal complaints including back pain, neck pain, sciatica, headaches arising from the neck, joint pains, shoulder complaints, minor sports injuries, plantar fasciitis, pregnancy related back pain and BPPV.

Before attending, patients are asked to complete an online form with personal details and medical history. The chiropractor then discusses the history and current complaint, carries out a postural, orthopaedic and neurological examination, and discusses the most likely diagnosis. In most cases, treatment is performed at the first visit.

Vale Chiropractic lists techniques including spinal manipulation, spinal and joint mobilisation, flexion distraction, table drops, activator technique, trigger point therapy, blocks, kinesiotaping and the Epley manoeuvre. Acupuncture and dry needling are also listed for the Dinas Powys clinic.

For more complex cases, the clinic says an x-ray, ultrasound scan, blood tests or MRI may be required. It can refer privately to Spire, Nuffield and the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic, or refer through a GP on the NHS.

Vale Chiropractic says there are no upfront payment plans. Patients pay as they go.
