Your Heart Scan

Your Heart Scan has one site in Branston, Burton-on-Trent. It provides private heart scans and cardiac checks without a GP referral.

Services include echocardiogram, electrocardiogram, carotid ultrasound, ambulatory ECG monitoring and 24-hour blood pressure monitoring. It also offers an Echo + ECG combined package and other scan packages.

The scans cover heart structure, heart rhythm, electrical activity, neck arteries and blood pressure patterns. They are used for concerns such as murmurs, breathlessness, family history, palpitations and chest pain. They also cover dizziness, unexplained fainting and stroke risk factors.

Scans are carried out in person at the clinic. Tests are performed by Advanced Cardiac Physiologists. Results are peer-reviewed by a second Advanced Cardiac Physiologist. An optional Consultant Cardiologist review is available for echocardiograms.

The team includes male and female physiologists. The practice aims to email reports to the patient and GP within four working days.

Patients can self-refer. The practice also accepts referrals from NHS or private GPs and consultants. It accepts Vitality private health insurance, with pre-authorisation required. Corporate heart health screening is available for businesses and organisations. The service is regulated by the Care Quality Commission.
