Dr Piya Sen Gupta provides private endocrinology, diabetes and wellness assessments at EndoWell. She sees adults with suspected or known hormonal and metabolic problems. Care is available in Central London, Borehamwood and virtually.

Clinical areas include thyroid, pituitary and adrenal conditions, pre-diabetes, type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance. EndoWell also covers obesity, hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, metabolic syndrome and cardiovascular disease prevention. Referrals may relate to fatigue, hair loss, weight change, period change or abnormal endocrine blood tests. Dr Sen Gupta also provides second opinions and elective surgery preparation prehabilitation.

Assessment includes a review of symptoms, medical history and existing results. Testing may include blood tests, other laboratory tests and radiology scans. Listed scans include X-rays, ultrasound, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine and DEXA. Cardiology and respiratory testing may include ECG, echocardiogram and sleep assessment.

Treatment may include medical lifestyle and behavioural change support, medications, and same day or next day prescriptions. Medication options include GLP-1 and incretin-based treatments. Dr Sen Gupta uses continuous glucose monitoring where suitable to guide diabetes treatment changes. Day case testing or hospitalisation may be arranged if appropriate. EndoWell can arrange corporate screening and treatment for employees with overweight, obesity or hypertension.

Appointments are in-person outpatient clinics or virtual telephone and video consultations. The listed clinics are at HCA The Wellington, Platinum Medical Centre in Central London, and HCA Elstree Waterfront in Borehamwood. Facilities are CQC-regulated. Patients in the UK, and international patients while in the UK, are welcome. Professional referrals are accepted from GPs, surgeons, physicians, dietitians, nurses, physiotherapists, podiatrists and psychologists.

Dr Sen Gupta is a Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology. Her NHS base is Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals, London. She holds BMedSci, MBBS, PhD and FRCP qualifications. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians. She is also a SCOPE National Fellow of the World Obesity Federation. Her PhD focused on gut hormone-based therapies and endoscopic treatments for diabesity. She was an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow and ABCD research fellow. She is principal investigator on clinical studies. Her practice works with radiologists, surgeons, physicians, nurses and dietitians.
