About Mr George Michaelides
Mr George Michaelides helps patients with musculoskeletal problems, sport and exercise medicine concerns, knee pain and persistent back pain disorders. His approach includes structured rehabilitation programmes, and he has been involved in research projects using Cognitive Functional Therapy approaches for persistent back pain.
George is the lead physiotherapist at Gidea Park Physiotherapy. He graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from King’s College London in 2005, after completing a BSc (Hons) in Sports Science at the University of Hertfordshire, and later gained an MSc in Sport and Exercise Medicine from Queen Mary’s University London in 2007.
He has over 19 years of physiotherapy experience, including musculoskeletal and orthopaedic NHS roles and pitch side and rehabilitation positions with Tottenham Hotspurs Ladies, Charlton Athletic FC and West Ham United FC Academies. He has also worked for over 8 years as a specialist personal trainer, creating rehabilitation programmes that support recovery and overall fitness.
