Gloster Aviation Medicals

Gloster Aviation Medicals provides aviation medical examinations in Cheltenham for pilots, air traffic controllers and cabin crew. It offers UK CAA, EASA and FAA medicals, apart from initial EASA and UK CAA Class 1 examinations.

The practice provides UK CAA medicals for pilots with UK-issued licences, EASA medicals for pilots with EU-issued licences under Transport Malta, and FAA medicals. FAA First Class initial medicals are included. FAA examinations can be completed at the same time as a CAA or EASA examination where applicable.

Cabin crew medicals include UK CAA Cabin Crew Initial or Renewal and EASA Cabin Crew Initial medicals. The fees list also includes HGV medicals, audiograms, lipid blood tests, colour vision tests, referral letters, casework, and copies of medical certificates or reports.

The medical team includes Dr Ian Ramsay and Dr Emma Ramsay. Dr Ian Ramsay is qualified to perform UK CAA medicals, and Dr Emma Ramsay is qualified to perform UK CAA and EASA medicals. Both can undertake all classes of FAA medical. The practice also offers support and consultation on medical matters that may affect a flying licence.

A chaperone will be present for all female applicants having an examination with Dr Ian Ramsay and is available for male applicants on request. A chaperone is available on request for all applicants having an examination with Dr Emma Ramsay.

The practice is based in Bespoke Treatment rooms on the A&E Fire & Security site, near Gloucestershire Airport. Free parking is available on site in marked spaces. The treatment rooms are on the first floor.
