Sophie Matthews

Sophie Matthews has a particular interest in analysing human movement in sport, using biomechanics to identify movement patterns and imbalances of forces that may contribute to injury risk. At PhysioNeeds, she is involved in the Gait Analysis service and takes an individual approach to understanding how your body moves.

She qualified as a Level 2 Sports Massage Therapist in 2022, adding manual therapy to her interest in injury prevention and treatment. She also holds a Masters in Sports Biomechanics from Loughborough University and a first-class honour in Sport and Exercise Science.
